Well, today's result of wasted time is for those who like to camp and hunt, but also have a refined palate, such as myself.
Being somewhat talented in the culinary arts, I enjoy cooking and was taught while growing up and hunting, you eat what you kill. (Interesting story there that I'll have to blog one of these days...)
So I have eaten many wild furry forest creatures in my time, but usually I'd go hunting for the day, then eat the harmless little forest scamperer at home, where I could cook it up in my fully stocked kitchen.
But what about those trips where you stay out just a little too late, or travel just a little too far, or, heaven forfend, actually get your ass lost!
Well, this is the ideal hiking kitchen companion I thought up during moments of the copious time I have on my hands:
I present to you: The Hikers Kitchen Bracelet!
drum roll......
TA DA!
In order left to right: Sugar - Steak Seasoning - Mint - Vanilla - Onion Powder - Dehydrated Onion Flakes - Basil - Garlic - Red Pepper Flakes (Pictured above) - Cinnamon - Dill - Italian Seasoning - Salt - Pepper - Chili Powder - Hot Sauce
And yes, I realize that a lot of those are not "meat" type seasonings, but I also like to make soups and sides for a hearty meal of Furry Forest Animals. And also, I DO realize my arms make me a rather Furry Creature myself...
