Just say NO.
Judge Orders Removal of San Diego War Cross
SAN DIEGO December 13, 2013 (AP)
U.S. District Judge Larry Burns wrote that "it's time for finality" in the case, 22 years after another judge ordered the 43-foot cross atop Mount Soledad to be taken down.
I don't give a rotted rat's ass about the religious aspect of this. I'm not Christian. Nor Buddhist, Islamic, Jehovah Witness, Mormon, Jewish, or any of those other opiates of the masses. I AM fundamentally spiritual, and mostly a good person though, and see nothing wrong with having a cross set up in memorial of the decayed and rotted corpses of our brothers who gave their lives in the fight for our freedoms.
Anybody bitched about Arlington Cemetery lately? Yeah... Good luck with that...
So here's the chance for Californians, (and anyone else who's feeling patriotic) to tell all those who want to make everyone and everything equal so that those that ain't got can have what those who got by actually working for it do got, to go straight to hell. Do not pass GO. Do not collect MY two hundred dollars.
You want a memorial put up reflecting Snoopy, the God of Peanuts. Go for it. This is America, and you have that right. If I don't like it, I ain't got to look at it. But don't expect me to take my flag down (or cross in this case) just because YOU ain't American!
Fuck em.
