Oh! Okay! So it obviously can't be happening...

An interesting post over at The Week. Apparently all this hoopla about revolution and civil unrest is just that: So much ado about nothing.

Thank goodness! I almost believed internet billionaire Nick Hanauer when he said we were headed toward revolution!

But here is where Hanauer's warning fails: A sour economic situation alone is by no means enough for a revolution. Research suggests that aside from economic inequality, mass institutional corruption is necessary to galvanize the anger necessary for civil unrest.
And on those measures, the data suggests that the U.S. is far less ripe for a revolution than other countries. According to Transparency International's Corruption Perception Index, the U.S. is one of the least corrupt countries in the world, ranking 17th out of 177. That was better than 2012, when the U.S. ranked 19th. (I put in the bold for emphasis!)

Thank goodness we have an honest government, huh? I was almost concerned for the future of our country. But knowing it takes economic inequality AND a corrupt government to foment unrest makes me feel SO much better! And besides, I'm sure the toothfairy will increase the minimum wage for teeth to set things to rights!
