Excuses, Excuses, Excuses...

Our 'Abe Lincoln was the shiznits' president couldn't bother to be at the ceremony commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Gettysburg Address.

Why?

Well, an exasperated Dan Pfeiffer tweeted an inane excuse for him that  “Oh, I don’t know, there’s this whole website thing that someone suggested might destroy the Dem Party.”
Of course, this was after the fact that he first used the excuse that it was an 'unavoidable scheduling conflict', which was, in fact, not as factually incorrect in that the prez was scheduled to speak to his media crony muckity-mucks.

Much more important, in the grand scheme of things, than honouring some boring old speech made by some dead guy about some boring old battle. At this point, what does it matter? People died, it wasn't HIS fault, he was told the battle at Gettysburg was over some film that nobody EVER watched, and it was just a little protest anyway, not a turning point in American history.

Excuses. His second favourite modus operandi just behind lying. And of course, even blowing off an historical event to hobnob with his supporters, he just HAD to use the opportunity to again let everyone know why it wasn't his fault. How he didn't even know anything. (The only truth in his entire reign, btw).

Here are some of the highlights of the latest in his Hopenchange Tour:

“What was already going to be hard was operating within a very difficult political environment and we should have anticipated that that would create a rockier rollout than if Democrats and Republicans were both invested in success,” Obama said.

“One of the problems we’ve had is one side of Capitol Hill is invested in failure and that makes, I think, the kind of iterative process of fixing glitches as they come up and fine-tuning the law more challenging,” he added.

Once the problems with the website are resolved, the president said “we’re going to have to, obviously, remarket and rebrand, and that will be challenging in this political environment.”

The president reiterated that HealthCare.gov will be “functioning for the majority of people who are using it” by the end of the month and predicted that consumers will have time to catch up before the enrollment deadline.

Reflecting on the botched rollout, the president admitted, “we probably underestimated the complexities of building out a website that needed to work the way it should.”

I especially like that last one. After all, it IS very difficult to build something that works right. It is much easier to build a piece of offal that doesn't do anything, and much easier to get rid of when it doesn't work the way it was designed not to work. Especially when you hire a second rate team of already proven inept creators to build it. At a cost thirty three times what it would have cost a first rate team. You know, one that's NOT hired due to your wife's friendships, but instead on their past record.

This Usurper In Chief is an embarrassment. And not because he's black; hell, I thought it was pretty cool that we could vote in a 'person of color' (Isn't WHITE a color?) even if I personally didn't vote for him because I thought he was a moron. It is definitely not his skin that is so disgusting about this fanatic. It is his socialist ideas and overwhelming desire to destroy America and bring her to his ideal of a fascist state where all bow down to his greatness. Even the Russians, the epitome of the communist state, are laughing at us!

I still believe this is the greatest country with the greatest political system on the planet. But if we continue to allow this maniac free rein, and to continue to build his base army of DHS, FEMA, NSA, along with the militarization of what used to be peace officers, our once great United States of America will fall to her knees.

There are means: Term limits on all of Congress. Impeach and incarcerate the traitors who refuse to acknowledge the will of the people. Ensure all laws that affect 'the people' affect the lawmakers. (I seem to remember that particular one from the Constitution....) And re-establish the boundaries within the three branches of our government. Abolish agency ability to establish 'rules' that have the force of law. Return stolen powers to the states, counties, cities, and towns, to enact laws and live according to the will of those who reside under their demesne. Re-establish free enterprise and let people decide for themselves what is good for them. Or not.

And: If you live in THIS country, you live by OUR laws. If you don't like the majority voted rules, LEAVE. Or even better, don't ride your camel here in the first place. Both you AND your camel will have to go through the same process as every proud new member of this land, every Nationalized Citizen, who's moment when they could say "I am an American" was an achievement, not a handout.

As patriots, we MUST reclaim the land of the free, by proving once again, this is still the home of the brave! (but if you like your excuses, you can keep them. Period)
