My thoughts:

First thought: UNFUCKINGBELIEVABLE!

Religious family abandons US, gets lost at sea.

This couple, Daddy in tow, with the kids, decide to leave America due to belief that Government is interfering with religion. Hmmm......

Story sound familiar?  Pilgrims, Mayflower?

Anyway, they must not be too bad off, because they own a house in Arizona, and can afford to buy what appears to be a VERY large boat in San Diego where they live for a couple of months or so while rigging for sea.

Then when everything falls apart like the USS Minnow, except they don't get to their island, they get rescued in the nick of time, and at the tax payers expense are being brought "home".

Now my next thoughts:

1. Maybe it was God's (or Jehovah, or allah, or Peter, Paul, and Mary's) way of telling them to think things through a bit more before being stupid and putting their children at risk of a VERY horrifying death at sea.

2. The only reason our coming to this land turned out so well for we AMERICANS is that we came here with the intent to colonize, (which I believe means to join together in a colon) and then had to fight a war to be left independent.

3. If everyone who disagrees with our government (pick me, pick me!) LEAVES, the government wins. And then when they OWN this little piece of real estate, they can come and FORCE their views on that little fucking island you ran away to in order to escape them in the first place!

Get a fucking grip, sheeple! THIS is our land. THIS is our freedom. Even if we have to fight another war to keep it against our own government. But that's okay. Run you motherfuckers. You weren't a patriot to begin with.
