Why we NEED Common Core

Our children are out of hand. They are precocious, rambunctious, and probably a lot of other -ious words I don't even know. Its time we as a country embrace the concept of Common Core education to put an end once and for all to these impertinent free thinkers! Like the 11 year old kid who invented 'sandless' sandbags that only weigh a couple pounds, as opposed to those weird sandbags that are actually filled with SAND! Them suckers weigh a TON!
We MUST stifle this kind of radical free thinking in our children. If we allow this to continue, there is NO WAY to have the drone mentally necessary for a Nanny State America.
They are actually HONORING this young upstart!

Peyton Robertson, 11, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., has the enthusiasm of an infomercial king and the ingenuity of Thomas Edison.
The sixth-grader put his math and science skills as well as some real-life experience to use and created something that could help people and property during floods - the sandless sandbag.

Today he was named the winner of the Discovery Education 3M Young Scientist Challenge for his sandbag, which could revolutionize the way we protect ourselves from flooding.
