I was reading a story about how Common Core is teaching 4th graders, that's NINE YEAR OLDS folks, English with homework that includes the rapper Twista, from a group with Mobstaz in its name, and a song about Pimps. Do our NINE year olds need to know ebonics? (story here with video)
But that reminded me of an article I read earlier this week about 10th graders using a textbook filled with sexual perversion specifically designed to denegrate women. (Story at Joe for America)
Which led me to a video of a teacher explaining to parents that with Common Core, if a student says 3X4=11, and he can explain how he arrived at that, he/she would still get an A. (Story and video here)
