I finally figured it out.
I am going to use the Patented Government Plan and get rid of all those pesky people who expect me to pay for shit!
No, I'm not going to drone them out of existence, although plans are in the works for this as an option. As of today, ALL my debt is for sale. Every cent that I owe anyone, for anything, is now available for purchase. I will sell every dollar of debt for 60 cents on the dollar! (That's a 40% markdown for any Common Core student out there). In return, I will sign an IOU to pay YOU $1.10 BACK on every dollar purchased. (Again, that's a 10% interest for you CC students).
As my debts rise from having to pay back the interest, (which is ALL I'm actually going to pay you, (see how this works?)). I will sell the debt I owe YOU, to someone else, which will increase my cash flow and thereby keep me afloat for a Long LOng LONG time.
I realize (Not having grown up in the Common Core educational system) that eventually I will have accumulated so much debt, that eventually I will not be able to sell enough to pay back all I owe, but have concluded that it DOESN'T matter! I will eventually be dead, or YOU will, (which would be helpful...hint hint...) or my kids will have to deal with it as I will be a drooling aged invalid that the state will have to euthanize in the name of humanity!
In addition, as I am now a land owner, (read that Renter from the Gubmint), I will allow unlimited immigration to my land, and anyone who moves on will only have to submit one THIRD of their income or production for the privilege. If the land becomes overpopulated, I will institute a health plan to kill off anyone of advanced age (except for those I like) and take BACK any viable land for the good of those who suck up to me.
Be one of the first to get in on this ONE TIME OFFER (unless I offer it again as I choose)!
Tell your friends! Currently only limited amount of debt is available for purchase!*
*More debt is expected to be available soon!

Turn Here Rose
Okay, I know I missed Thursdays posts, and I apologize profusely, but let me try to explain.....
On Wednesday night, I went out to Turn Here Rose farm, (that isn't much of a farm yet, but hey, its a work in progress) because I had found a plot map online that gave a satellite view of my property lines. Got out there about 4-4:30, and spent the evening looking for the survey markers. ANY of them. No luck.
Well, I always keep enough supplies in the car to be stranded somewhere for a while, so on the spur of the moment, I decided to camp out, and start again on Thursday.
Here's my sleeping setup:
Okay. Normally, I'd use the plastic sheet as a ground cloth, and the tarp over top, but it was a fairly small tarp, and a calm afternoon, so I went the other route. BIG mistake! Around 9:30, it started sprinkling, so I called it a night, and because Scooter had decided to stay the night with me, there wasn't room to 'wrap' up in my blanket, but folded it in half with him on the inside of the fold, and my butt hanging out the outer edge because the little shit wouldn't move over.
No problem so far. Wind was from the south, opening was to the north, and I lay there listening to the sprinkle of rain hitting my tarp, and thoroughly enjoying my evening.
Drifted off in a short time, and was awakened at around 11:30 to a complete and major thunderstorm. Rain was coming down in sheets, but all from the rear of my lean-to, and although the temp had dropped a bit, I was still good.
Until a small branch nub I hadn't seen when putting the logs on the back of the sheet tore through it, and the wind tore it away at the back left corner.
Here's a warning to all those survivalist 'experts' out there. The next time I hear someone say how nice and snuggly warm you stay in wool regardless of how wet it gets? I'm going to make it my life's mission to hunt you down and stick you in a freezer wrapped up in a wet wool blanket. Good luck.
The rest of the night I maybe got a total of a half hour sleep. Wet, cold, dog whining every time I try to pull this blanket further over myself......
Note to self. ALWAYS put the heavier tarp on top!
So, the next morning, I got up around 6:30 as the sun was coming up, and got my fire going again. I had had the good sense to put a deal of wood in the old chimney fireplace, and of course had my fire materials with me, so restarting a fire on the soaked ashes was simple enough.

A burned and rusted bed frame I propped up with a couple pieces of cement and a few lengths of paracord

My tarp was a little short, so I used it as my ground sheet, with a light plastic painter's sheet above, Tarp is pegged down, and sheet is tied off and logs holding the rear down.

My wool blanket, spread out and ready to roll up in.

So, after I spilled two pans of water in the fire trying to make some coffee, I found a piece of half inch rod about four feet long, heated one end red hot, and used the hammer in my tool pouch to shape it into a hook. Hung my water on it, and finally, around 8:30 had my first and only cup of coffee that morning.
I spent some time looking for the markers again, and finally had to give it up as a lost cause. Way too overgrown after 2 years of laying fallow.
So, since Rose wouldn't be back until after 3PM, I figured I'd try a new project:

Before. You may recognize this photo from last weeks post.

After. That's the slab where the chimney rested, with a pile of the bricks landing where my fire was. It sat and smouldered the rest of the day, which is why those middle bricks are blackened.
That's what They want...
"Our" government is even more insidious than I previously realized.
See, Obama knows the dollar is dying. He should, he orchestrated it. He knows that educated people are a threat. Hence Common Core. Its not enough that our progeny can't even make change without a machine telling them the exact amounts.
And now this:
Oklahoma Senate Passes Bill to Authorize Gold and Silver as Legal Tender, 37-4
We are screwed. Take a common core graduate, give him an ounce of gold. Forget about that whole decimal system thing. Now make change in Fractions! And Heaven forbid he needs to make change in ounces to a pound. There's SIXTEEN of them! They can't make change based on TENS! And they have fingers and toes for that!
Picture this scenario: Guy walks into a tobacco shop, (yes, they still exist despite 'vaping') and wants a pennyweight of tobacco, and he's paying in gold. Poor clerk tries to figure out what a penny is worth in gold, how much a penny weighs, how many fractions based on sixteen he needs to make change for, out of a 64th of an ounce, rips off his clothes, goes screaming down the street naked, and spends the rest of his life drooling down his straightjacket and being taken care of by the government.
We are SO screwed.

Why do I always have to rescue these curs?
Scooter was being poisoned by mange treatments at 6 weeks old, Petey was thrown in a dumpster, Roscoe was being slowly starved to death. And now this mutt.
I kept Scooter as my dog after managing to save his scabrous ears. Petey became Rose's dog after she cleaned him up and he crawled in her lap. Roscoe I fattened up and my granddaughter and him hit it off, and he's well taken care of.
Now I got a new mutt I named Mutt that came to me literally covered with ticks. I lost count at 170 or so, got her in the tub, and found still more with only their butts sticking out from inside this poor dog's skin. I actually had to stab pointed tweezers into this mutt to grip them! And she took it like a champ!
She is sweet as hell, and even allowed me to lay her on her side in the tub, while I picked and pulled on her, then she got to know Scooter and Petey, and met my chickens. My dogs she got on with right off the bat. Chickens on the other hand sent her running across the yard with her tail between her legs. Not exactly guard dog material, but I'll work with her and see what I can come up with.
Got to get her fattened up first...
